| Post subject: Wine Tasting Terminology |
In researching Wine Tasting Terminology, I found the following helpful areas on eBacchus.com:
1. Wine Tasting Terminology See the home page link in the Wine Information section.
2. The Writing Better Tasting Notes forum post is worth reading.
3. In talking with some of my wine friends I was told that the following 10 words are some of the most important wine terms:
-Aroma
-Balance
-Crisp (Whites)
-Finish
-Fruity
-Smooth (Velvety)
-Spicy
-Structure
-Tannins (Reds)
-Taste
The definitions of these can be found in the Wine Tasting Terminology section on the home page.
I hope this will help encourage other eBacchus members to write their own tasting notes. |

Thanks for mentioning me. Yes, these are probably the "10 words are some of the most important wine terms."
Surely, eBacchus members are now writing more of their own tasting notes? |

Me too. From now on, I will be using these "10 words are some of the most important wine terms." For all your wine drinkers, who don't like to write, isn't this the answer for your tasting notes? |

Many thanks for all your great postings re "Wine Tasting Terminology."
The above long version, middle version, and short version will all be a big help to the eBacchus members, writing tasting notes. Any other great ideas? |

This wine forum section is great. Especially, I like very much the "ajberry #3 version", "10 words of the most important wine terms".
From now on I will incorporate these 10 words as "Quick Responses"/wine tasting terminology, in writing my Tasting Notes. Do you think this will be easier? |

I really like your idea of "Quick Respsones". Yes, I will be using these
"10 Most Important Wine Tasting Terminology Words" more often. Apparently, some members are already using something similar for their
"Quick Respones"/Tasting Notes? |

The idea "Quick Responses" is certainly a good one. Thanks to ajberry's postings, we have been reading and re-reading these 3 options. Presently, we are going back and forth between the 10 Top Wine Tasting Words, as well as the 33 Major Basic Wine Words by DeanL's posting. In the future, we will incorporate these suggestions into our tasting notes. |

As mentioned, eBacchus Quick Response/Tasting Notes, including the
"10 Important Words For Wine Tasting Terminology" is one of the best ideas, and makes it much easier for all of us, to write Tasting Notes under the SweetGrapes Member Reviews section. Thanks. |

Quick Response/Tasting Notes is a super suggestion. First, the Top 10 Words, or Second, the mentioned 33 Words, are very useful for Wine Tasting Terminology. Third, if you don't want to go through all the Words in Wine Tasting Terminolgy/Home Page, the first two opitons are probably sufficient. Many thanks. |

I am also a fan of Quick Response/Tasting Notes, but I prefer the more detailed 33 Wine Tasting Terms. |

Me too, yes, first I consider the Quick Responce/Tasting Notes.
I start with the A) Top 10 words B) I also consider the 33 Wine Tasting Terms and C) I always go back to the home page Wine Tasting Terminology for wine definition. Using this approach, it is a great deal easier to write Tasting Notes. Thanks you all. |

I was reading your wine forum and like the proposal.
In the future I will also be using the quick response for the tasting notes.
These top 10 words (as well as the other mentioned 33 key words) will certainly be a nice in bringing clarity to the tasting notes themselves. Time to study the "Glossary of Wine Terminology." |
